What is GeoJSON Map Viewer and what does it do?

The GeoJSON Map Viewer renders GeoJSON feature collections on a 2D canvas map with click-to-inspect functionality.

Supports Points, LineStrings, Polygons, and MultiGeometry types.

  • Render GeoJSON Points, LineStrings, and Polygons on a canvas with auto-fit bounds.
  • Click any feature to inspect its properties in a side panel.
  • Display feature count broken down by geometry type.
  • Pan and zoom the canvas map interactively.

How does GeoJSON Map Viewer work?

Parses GeoJSON JSON, computes bounding box, projects WGS-84 coordinates to canvas pixel space using a simple equirectangular projection, and draws each geometry type.

100% private: all processing happens locally in your browser using client-side WebAssembly, WebCrypto, WebAudio, and HTML5 Canvas. Your files are never uploaded to any server.
