Free Online FLAC Player & Audio Inspector — 24-bit Studio Hi-Res Audio
Play 24-bit Hi-Res Studio FLAC & View Vorbis Tags. Inspect 24-bit studio audio parameters, extract embedded album artwork, read Vorbis tags, and view frequency spectrum.
What is FLAC Inspector and what does it do?
The FLAC & Lossless Audio Inspector is a free online FLAC player and metadata inspector for 24-bit studio audio. It shows bit depth, sample rate (96kHz/192kHz), compression metrics, Vorbis/ID3 tags, and embedded album artwork — plus lossless playback.
It supports FLAC, ALAC, WAV, and M4A files, and everything from tag reading to artwork extraction happens locally in your browser.
- Play 24-bit/96kHz and 24-bit/192kHz studio-master audio losslessly.
- Display bit depth, sample rate, and compression parameters.
- Extract embedded high-resolution album artwork for instant download.
- Read Vorbis and ID3 metadata tags (artist, album, track, genre).
- Render a frequency spectrum of the playing track.
How does FLAC Inspector work?
The tool parses the audio file's header blocks — STREAMINFO for FLAC parameters or equivalent atoms for ALAC/WAV — and decodes the lossless stream into raw PCM that the browser outputs at its native bit depth without downsampling.
Metadata blocks (Vorbis comments, attached pictures) are decoded alongside, so tags and cover art appear in the inspector panel. Artwork can be re-serialized and downloaded directly from memory.
100% private: all processing happens locally in your browser using client-side WebAssembly, WebCrypto, WebAudio, and HTML5 Canvas. Your files are never uploaded to any server.
